Awesome!!

So I have done a bit of looking around and I found that there is a pretty easy way to configure the game engine to allow for a relationship system!
So we are heading full speed ahead.

On another note I think I have chosen who will be the 'candidates' for the love system. And on top of that I have also gotten an artist that I really like to do the art.
So that's super awesome.
I am now turning my attention to creating a running alpha, which will be a super super basic thing to even see if I can do what I want.
I think the next big thing will be to see if I can get a day night cycle working.
But more on that later.

In depth concept

So the game would be something very similar to harvest moon.
You play as a character that does something around, building up the world and in the mean time finding their love and eventually wedding and bedding them.
Now the main differences will be that in the game I would like to make there would be no farming, but rather fighting monsters. I'm not completely sure if I will have dungeons or not, and I would really like to find a way to incorporate some feature more than just your average RPG game style, as it gets old.

Now I have an idea as to how to do this, I'm thinking something along the lines of a story line for each of the 'girls' that you can follow after reaching enough 'affection points'.
This story would be less like a story line and more along the lines of interactive cut scenes. I don't like using that term though as I feel it brings a bad annotation. More like a mission kinda I guess. After following through the story for each one there will be a set of endings based on how you acted through each mission.

That's actually all I want to game to about but I feel like that would be to empty of a game.
I would really love feedback about that.

Now as for the setting I am planning for both modern and a fantasy setting. And I'll achieve this by the use of Portals.

That's really all I have figured out at the moment. I have a few ideas for a maps and stuff but for now I think that's it for this post.
I'll update soon.

Current idea

So my current idea for what I want to make would be a very close relative to the old Harvest Moon games.
Mostly because I really liked those games and also because I am not a huge fan of VNs. So I really wanna emphasize the portion about relationships more than anything else. But then add in an interesting story line and show this all through an easy to play style.

Now the thing is I have a few game engines I could use, for example U4 or game maker studio, but I am going to use RPG Maker MV because I have a lot of experience working in those engines, so I think that it would work out a bit better if I used them rather than something that I know a little about but not a lot.
Which makes good sense to me.
Furthermore later on in development I am going to add a patreon, so I can maybe start making a little money on the side. Which every one needs at this point.

Now something I have to keep in mind is the fact that I work full time and also have college classes that I have to attend. But the thing is I want to make sure this is something that remains high on my priorities list. So I need to find a balance between it all.

A Delicious New Start!

So as you can tell from the title of this blog, my goal is to become an indie developer for video games.

In the real world its funny, I hate saying that because for some reason it makes me feel like I am just like all the other people that want to go and do that. But the thing is, I have just realized that that is what i want to do. And I just have to go do it.

So here I am making this blog, which i am sure looks really bad, but for now I think it will do.
